Meet Dr. Douglas Brewer, DPM / FACFAS

Dr. Doug Brewer was born and raised in northern Michigan. He attended Western Michigan University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. He then attended William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He performed his residency in podiatric surgery and medicine at Botsford General Hospital (now a division of Beaumont Hospital) in Farmington Hills Michigan.

Dr. Brewer is board certified in Foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also board certified in podiatric medicine by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Brewer started his professional career at Kalamazoo Foot Surgery, and practiced here for 14 years before joining Borgess Hospital for 6 years. Dr. Brewer rejoined Kalamazoo Foot Surgery in 2023.

Dr. Brewer now serves as an office based provider at our practice. He enjoys outdoor activities including spending most of his free time in the upper peninsula
